The RocketStor 6418TS utilizes 2 SFF-8088 external Mini-SAS ports to directly support up to 8 SATA hard drives or SSD's in one or more RAID Storage configurations. The dual mini-SAS ports merge the performance capabilities of eight independent 6Gb/s SATA channels into a single, high-speed connectivity solution that is capable of performing up to 2x 2,400MB/s, and are ideal for performance hungry workstations.

The RocketStor 6418TS features an “open-box” approach to storage, which grants customers the freedom to use their choice of SAS or SATA drive from all major drive brands including HGST, Seagate, Toshiba and WDC. Customers can add drives as needed to meet the evolving performance or capacity requirements of the storage application.
The eight removable hot-swap bays support any 2.5” or 3.5” SATA Hard Drive or SSD, and up to 112TB of total storage capacity. Enterprise/NAS class drives are recommended for the RocketStor 6418TS; customers can tailor storage configurations to meet each application’s performance and budget requirements.
